Uncle Bob is having quite the year!
Why not add another deer onto an already impressive season?! Bob Gillespie was able to put a 200+ yard shot with his rifle on this 10 point buck. The deer only ran about 80 yards. This was a buck that we had seen a few other times but couldn't get within bow range. What a deer and what a year for Bob!
Jake's Bow Buck!
Jacob Engler took a good buck with his bow the day before opening rifle season. He put a good shot on it but the deer was quartering towards him. The entry of the arrow was so angled that it didn't have an exit wound leaving us absolutely no blood trail. We found him at the bottom of one of our deepest creeks.

Bob's Doe
On October 12th, Bob Gillespie shot a pretty good sized doe! This will be great meat for the freezer!
Ben Gebhard's Family Got it Done!
Ben is Bob's son in law (married to Jessica). He was able to get his first bow kill on Bob's farm. Not a bad buck to start off with! Look at the hole the Rage broad head left!
Ben was able to take a buck opening morning of rifle season.
His brother, Chris, was also able to take a dandy.

Why not get the job done early?!
Andy Engler and Bob Gillespie had a Morning to Remember!
It was definitely a memorable early season morning. With higher than normal temperatures and a very uncommon eastern wind, the odds seemed to be stacked against them. However, the weekend was open and mowing needed to be done at the farm, so Andy, Jake and Bob decided to go up. Saturday was a day of work, and Sunday was the reward.
Sunday morning, Bob sat in one of our better stands which is perfect for a southern wind. It is a great stand to catch deer moving towards a bedding area after feeding. After a few unsuccessful hours, he looked up to find 5 bucks grouped together working towards him. Out of the 5, 4 of them were shooters. He picked the biggest bodied (oldest) deer and look at the result! We are guessing the buck is at least 6 years old. His neck looks like it is in full rut.
After the shot was landed, the other 4 bucks scattered. Two of them made their way up to Andy. He looked up and was shocked to see both bucks working their way towards him. He picked the biggest one and landed a great shot. Check it out. Very similar rack, just a little younger of a buck.
Ultimately, it was an awesome morning that produced two awesome bucks!
